Calling All Secret Agents

Put on your disguise, and get ready to help us search to find out the truth about Jesus at this summer’s VBS on June 20-23 from 5:30-8:00PM. We will begin each night with a meal, and then all agents will go through obstacle courses, decode secret messages, and follow clues to find out more about this man named Jesus. Also, the entire church is invited to join us for a cookout on Friday, June 24, at 5:30PM for our VBS party. The kids will sing their VBS songs and receive their VBS certificates as we celebrate what a fun week we had.

Our High Seas Expedition

The kids at St. James enjoyed a great week of VBS together as we boarded the High Seas Expedition and sailed away to learn about the deep, deep love of Jesus!
Together, we not only worshipped our Lord Jesus Christ, but we also learned some fun Bible stories about God's love and care in the lives of Peter, Paul, and John. And, most importantly, all of the kids practiced sharing God's love with others, as well. Our children went home and invited their friends to VBS, and they also brought in money to help needy kids in Tanzania, who don't have much food, fresh water, or clothing. Wow! While we learned about God's love, we also played some swashbuckling games, ate some delicious snacks, and created some cool crafts together. VBS was so much fun!

Crocodile Dock Rocks!

We had an awesome time at VBS this year, as we heard stories about Moses and the burning bush, Pharaoh and the plagues, the Passover of God, the parting of the Red Sea, and Jesus dying on the cross and rising again. In all of these stories, we learned that we should never be afraid, because: God is with us; God is powerful; God does what he says he'll do; God gives us life; & God cares for us! This week, we also talked a lot about what it means to be a baptized child of God, shining God's light into the world. We want the whole world to know just how great our God is!
