Affirmations of Faith

Congratulations to our Confirmands for 2012! They each got up and affirmed their faith in Christ on Pentecost Sunday, May 27. What a joyous time this was in the life of our congregation as these young people stood up to renounce sin, the devil, and all the forces that defy God. May God continue to bless them and to guide them as they go forward in the truth and the wisdom of Christ.

Confirmation Covenant Service

This Sunday morning during worship, all Confirmation students will participate in a covenant service as they embark on another year of Confirmation classes and regular involvement in worship services. As a congregation, we ask your prayers upon all who are entering this faith-filled time of study and reflection, that they would grow in the grace and love of God as young leaders here at St. James.

Confirmation Class

It's time for Confirmation classes to start up again at St. James, and our young people are ready for it! On the final Sunday in August, all Confirmation students stood before the congregation to make a declaration that they were committed and ready for a new year of study. This Sunday afternoon marked their first week of classes together, and 16 of them came out to study the word of God together! What a blessing. We can't wait to see how they will grow as young disciples of Christ in the year ahead.
