This past Sunday everyone was given a seashell pin to wear! The shell is the symbol of St. James the Greater, the saint for whom our church is named. Pilgrims travel along the coastline of Spain to walk along “The Way of St. James” every year at this time in his honor. As they walk, they pick up shells and affix them to their hats and on their person. Yesterday, July 2, when we picked up a shell, it represented our own earthly pilgrimage as we follow Jesus.
