St. James Youth will kick off our Souper Bowl of Caring on February 3. Then, on March 1, we will have a 5 mile "Walk for Hunger" through downtown Lexington to St. James Lutheran Church. This will be a great opportunity to show our St. James pride. Pledge money toward our youth as they plan to walk together for the sake of stopping hunger in Lexington. All money that we collect will go toward the St. James Food Pantry.

Praying for St. Paul
This week, our hearts go out to the congregation at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pomaria, who lost their building in a devastating fire. We continue to pray for and support them in the midst of this great tragedy. Our churches are more than just buildings: they are holy places where we experience God in our midst. May God bless and uphold the people of St. Paul and help them to feel His presence close by as they remember the many holy moments they have shared in their church and await the many more holy moments they will share as God leads them into the future.

Epiphany
"When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy; and going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh." Matthew 2:11
From all of us at St. James, we wish you a blessed Epiphany season!
